February 1988 to March 1989
Major rallies against Clause 28 were held in Manchester in February 1988 and in London in April 1988, with many people attending from Birmingham and the surrounding areas. Five coaches organised by Birmingham Stop the Clause group were filled and many more people went under their own steam to Manchester.
