Guys 1960s

1968

Then, Guys opened in Bromsgrove Street:
?Even seedier than the Nightingale (Guys in Bromsgrove Street), so hot, all done in little caves and there were mostly boys, men, in various stages of undress. It was a place you?d hate to see in the daylight, but you used to go because it was someone different from the Nightingale, if you could get a man to sign you in. They were usually pretty good, they?d realised we were here and here to stay: ?We might as well sign them in as have them standing in the street being noisy??.
